The 2nd Annual International Book to Film Festival was held in Houston, Texas FEB 23-26. Co sponsored by Houston Mayor Pro-Tem, Carol Alvarado. This festival concentrates on getting published authors work adapted for the big or small screen. We invite literary agents and film/studio executives to discuss the process and answer the maze of questions for participating authors such as, how do I get my work green-lighted for film production? What books are most likely selected? What role does the genre, characters, cultural reference etc., play in the selection process? Also, to answer questions about the reality of the pros and cons of options. What's the deal with attachments, can't I choose who plays my characters?
